Ratul joined Moser Baer in the Year 1994. Before taking on the role of the Executive Director, Ratul was the General Manager, Business Development at Moser Baer and was instrumental in setting up the Noida and Greater Noida plants for the manufacture of CDRs-the plants being the first of their kind in India. Under his leadership, the Moser Baer finance and corporate strategy team got various institutions like IFC, Electra partners and EM Warburg Pincus to invest in the company.

Ratul has been associated with the data storage industry for more than seven years and has made substantial contribution in making Moser Baer the second-largest manufacturer of optical storage media in the world.

Aged 35, Ratul has a B. Tech in Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburg PA, USA. He is married to Kavita and they have two sons and a daughter. Ratul loves reading and playing squash.
